How different are men and women? As I write dozens of parents are sipping lattes at our 'Purple Sheep Centre' cafe.Women are chatting about babies, blokes, life struggles, shoes. (i hope that's not misrepresented them!)They are natural at conversation. But men are clearly different.
We don't generally talk for starters, unless we're doing something competitvely. It could be food, fishing, football or fencing but we have to be doing something with our hands. Gimme Playstation 3, football, snooker, pool or a game of darts and you can't shut us up! As long as we win.
I love the fast-growing Weston super Mum network. Indeed I am their first male member and regularly chat to other members in our cafe. Good on you ladies. They have an impression collection of mums and loads of activities detailed online.
I write for Sorted men's magazine. Gadgets, football, food and fitness lead the way but we have no views on curtains, diets or shoe shopping.
Thank God for diversity. Wouldn't it be boring otherwise!
